Roughrider Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric cooperative in North Dakota with offices in Hazen and Dickinson. It has provided electric service to members in Billings, Dunn, Mercer, Oliver, Stark and Golden Valley counties for more than 70 years.
The cooperative is governed by a nine-member board of directors who are elected by the membership.
Roughrider Electric serves more than 8,000 members by providing electrical service to more than 14,000 meters. It purchases power through Upper Missouri Power Cooperative in Sidney, Mont. Its power suppliers are Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Western Area Power Administration.
